Requirements for… A Healthy and
Happy Stay!

1.  Vaccine Requirements

Vaccines must be up to date in our system or proof of current vaccination status from a veterinary clinic must be shown before your pet can stay. IF YOUR PET IS NOT CURRENT ON VACCINATIONS, THE VACCINES CAN BE GIVEN BY DR. FLANARY UPON INTAKE.

Dogs

  • DHLPP/DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvo, Parainfluenza)
    • Dogs must have had within one year from stay.
  • Rabies
    • Dogs must have within one or three years (depending on if 1 or 3 year type of rabies vaccine was given) from stay
  • Bordetella
    • Dogs must have had within six months from stay
  • Canine Influenza
    • Although this vaccine is not required, it is highly recommended if you care about the health of your pet. Dogs should have had within one year from stay.

Cats

  • FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis Calicivirus Panleukopenia)
    • Cats must have had within one year from stay
  • Rabies
    • Cats must have had within one or three years (depending on if 1 or 3 year type of rabies vaccine was given) from stay
  • Bordetella
    • Cats must have had within one year from stay

ALL VACCINATION RECORDS CAN BE SENT TO SUNSHINE PURRS AND WAGS VIA EMAIL (info@sunshinepurrsandwags.com). Attached to your pets account or emailed by your pet’s veterinarian.

2.  Health Requirements

  • All pets must be negative for fleas and ticks. If fleas and ticks are found, the pets will be treated at the owner’s expense.
  • Being on heartworm/intestinal preventions is strongly suggested for your pet’s health and the health of other guests.
  • The staff at Sunshine Purrs and Wags will perform an intake evaluation on every incoming pet at check-in to ensure they are free from fleas and ticks as well as any other issues that might interfere with your pet’s health or the health of our other guests. Owners will be notified if there are any concerns during this exam or on any of the daily veterinarian visits to our resort, and treatment options will be discussed.

3.  What to Bring

  • Please bring your pet’s food in their food bag/container with feeding instructions attached. In case you forget your pet’s food or their stay is extended, we can provide a small bag of Hill’s Science Diet food for your pet’s stay at your cost, or we can provide house food for an extra charge of $5/day.
  • A list of any health problems, concerns, or limitations your pet has so we can be proactive in keeping your pet healthy and happy during their stay.
  • The most current vaccination records for your pet from a veterinary office if not previously on file or emailed to us.

4.  Create an Account Via Our Online Portal

  • All clients must create an online account.
  • For boarding, daycare, and grooming we are now managing all of our reservations, bookings, vaccinations & pictures through Paw Partner.  Go to the free Paw Partner app & checkout the pet social media platform to see pictures of your pet.
  • How to create an account
    • Click on button that says “BOOK NOW”
    • Next Create PawPartner account
    • Step 1 – Start by downloading the Sunshine Purrs & Wags app from either the Google Play store or Apples app store (it’s free) then create your Paw Partner account.
    • Step 2 – Click the “make a reservation” button.
    • Step 3 – Select Sunshine Purrs & Wags from the list of boarding locations.
    • Step 4 – Fill in the rest of your information, such as contact information & address.
    • Step 5 – Complete your pets profile.
    • Step 6 – Choose a reservation.  If you have multiple pets, choose which one (or both) you would like to make a reservation for, then tell us the details of your reservation.
    • Step 7 – We require all pets to be up-to-date on vaccinations before staying with us.  Upload your documents on the app or on the Paw Partner website.
    • Step 8 – Pamper your pet.  Let us know if you would like any addional services for your pet during their stay.
    • Step 9 – After you complete your reservation, Sunshine Purrs & Wags will contact you thorugh the app & via email to confirm your reservation.  You can check the status in the app.
    • Please Note:
      • Putting a credit/debit card on file is NOT a requirement when creating an account.
      • You MUST agree to our Boarding/Daycare/Spa agreements in order to schedule with us.
