Sunshine Purrs and Wags Resort and Daycare is a one-of-a-kind pet experience for the Paducah area. We are located in the Reidland community conveniently right off exit 16 of I-24 and Highway 62 and 68 as well. Our resort was created to provide your pets with a pawsitively bright place to stay while you’re away. Each guest at our resort is treated with love, respect, and compassion as if they were our own pets. When your pet stays with us, you can have peace of mind knowing that they will be having their own positive and memorable adventures while you are away having yours. With cozy accommodations, attentive care and stimulating activities, we go beyond other run of the mill pet boarding places to ensure that your pet’s days here are fun filled and enriched. Second, setting us apart from other boarding kennels, we are dedicated to keeping your pet safe, healthy, and very HAPPY! Sunshine Purrs and Wags works closely with Flanary Veterinary Clinic, striving to provide the same excellent care. A veterinarian from Flanary Veterinary Clinic will be available daily if any concerns or issues should arise. Trained veterinary assistants will also be administering medications needed while a guest at our resort. Your pet can receive concierge veterinary services, and you may speak with the veterinarian at your convenience. Happy Stay!
- We offer spacious boarding accommodations which are all in a climate controlled area. Daily housekeeping is provided for utmost cleanliness.
- We offer spacious cat condos that are four stories high, as well as in a separate area.
- We also have a separate area for pets to enjoy extra peace and quiet.
- We have four outside fenced-in “play courtyards” for plenty of fun and exercise.
- Pets are always supervised when outside on potty breaks and never allowed with other pets unless they are family or the owner agrees to group activities. Three to four potty breaks a day are given.
- Upon check-in, your pet is personally evaluated so we can address or watch any issues during their stay.
- Your pet can also get a “pet-i-cure”, “ear massage” and gland expression during their stay as well as many other spa/bathing experiences.
- Daycare is also available for social interaction while you’re at work. Dogs will only be socialized with others if their owner agrees.
- With your pet’s stay, we offer “The Fur Fresh and Fluff” upon their leaving so they go home smelling and feeling fur fabulous. We also offer medicated bathing treatments specialized for your pet. Spa days are a huge hit with our boarders which include a bubble bath and spritzer in a seasonal special scent and a nail trim. All baths can be upgraded to include a cream rinse, sani shave, ear cleaning, gland expression, blow out, paw trims, and deshedding.
- Included in your pet’s reservation is playtime in which our kennel staff plays with your pet with toys, balls, and frisbees. When the weather allows, we have a kiddie swimming pool and outside toys. And when the weather does not cooperate, we have an indoor pet plaza to play with your pet and provide toys to keep your pets enthused! If you think your smaller dog or cat is not into playing, we can give them cuddle time instead with extra loving, brushing, and snuggling. An extra playtime package can be added daily. We also have an indoor feline fitness center.
- We offer treat time or “room service” as well for those pets who love their goodies. Healthy and delicious snacks can be served at your request. Treats can be upgraded as well to our gourmet lines.
- Calming music will be played during the night as well as ambient lighting and aromatherapy to soothe your pet.
- Our facility features the very latest in fire security and video surveillance technology.
- All our guests are fed with Hill’s Science Diet if you forget to bring your pet’s food. This food is $5/day.
- Daily supervision by a veterinarian and or a veterinary technician is provided as pets are monitored and treated if medical concerns arise.
- We post a photo of your pet for you during their stay with us for no additional charge to make the hardship of being away from them a little easier.
- Our trained staff will ensure your pet’s medications or special diet are provided at the appropriate time just like at home.
- Take advantage of the veterinary aspect while your pet is boarding. Dental cleanings, laser treatments, senior testing, and yearly exams can be done with their boarding stay to save you time. A veterinarian will always be available to answer any of your questions when you return.
- Fresh linens/blankets provided if needed to help your pet enjoy its stay.
- We have a commercial grade sterilizer to wash and sanitize all pet food bowls that we provide to promote cleanliness and health.
